YDWA's first big campaign event this year is for 17th Legislative District Candidates Tim Probst and Deb Wallace. Deb is looking to be re-elected to her 4th Term, and Tim is looking to unseat Republican Jim Dunn!
We will be joining the campaigns this Saturday, August 2nd, at 1:00 pm. at the campaign office in Vancouver (10621 NE Coxley Drive, Suite 103). We'll divide into teams, review doorbelling basics, then head out for some face-to-face contact with voters who will decide the election. Every door, every voter, and every lit-piece is important in this race!
Address: Mukilteo City Hall - 4480 Chennault Beach Road

The monthly meeting of the Clark County YDs will be August 12 at 6:30. We will be meeting at the coordinated campaign headquarters located at 10621 Coxley Drive Suite 103. This will give those of you who haven't been a chance to see all the hard work that's happening there. And there will be snacks!
The primary is August 19th and the general election is just around the corner so we have lots of exciting and important events to plan and discuss. Bring your ideas!!
For more information, contact Stephanie at clark@ydwa.org.
Come join us for our next general member meeting at the Mercer Island Firehouse! We'll be discussing the upcoming primary and the general election season, and voting on a motion to amend our constitution. Proposed changes are available on the KCYD website, http://kcyd.org.
For more information contact Chiho at king@ydwa.org
The 28th is undergoing a democratic surge and is looking to deal the Republicans the final blow. Debi Srail is running for the state Senate against long time but vulnerable Republican Mike Carrell. Troy Kelley is long to have a strong showing in 2008 after narrowly winning the seat in 2006, and Tami Green as of yesterday now has a Republican challenger.
Tami, Troy, and Debi will be an amazing team for the 28th, and if we can get all 3 to Olympia, we will have turned the 28th from complete red to complete blue in just four years!
We will be meeting at 2:00 at the 28th LD Campaign Office (8415 W. 27th St., University Place) and after a quick training will be heading out for these candidates!
Please RSVP at data.ydwa.org. If you have any questions, contact Phil Munsterman.
Don't forget to vote in the Washington State Primary!
This primary is important, even if there are only two candidates in each election. This primary will be head to head for each race, so let's make sure that our Democratic Candidates come out on top!
The following YDWA Endorsed Candidates are in primaries with more than two candidates:
Governor: Christine Gregoire
State Treasurer: Jim McIntire
State Auditor: Brian Sonntag
Supreme Court Position 3: Mary Fairhurst
Supreme Court Position 4: Charles Johnson
